Cambly: Progress, Not Perfection

To celebrate the launch of their rebranded website and mobile app, Cambly asked Brand New School to create a brand video merging photography and motion
reflecting their new design / UI direction as well as their motto, Progress, Not Perfection.  
As a 2D / 3D Design intern, I worked closely with the creative director to understand and execute his creative vision. I also collaborated with the design and motion team to design storyboards, styleframes and assets to be animated for the final piece.


“Most language learning isn’t cut out for real life. We’re sold an idea of ease, if we play along. Perfect tenses, fill the gaps, get a reward. Shhh the teacher’s speaking.
But learning English isn’t quiet or easy. Learning is a doing word. Speaking, listening, arms waving, making mistakes, asking for help, trying again, moving forward together. Sharing your opinion and showing them what you’re capable of. That’s real learning, and real progress. That’s doing English.”
